Huawei recently distinguished itself with the launch in Europe of a wave of smartphones, the Pura 70 inherited from its old P series, but does not stick to mobiles, which account for a small part of its sales in the Old Continent. These are therefore products less affected by the absence of Google services, namely watches (the Watch Fit 3 and Watch 4 Pro Space Edition), a tablet (MatePad 11.5″ S) and a PC, the MateBook Pro, its ultralight laptop PC announced in China a few weeks ago, which the brand presented during its keynote on May 7, 2024 in Dubai.

As its name suggests, the Huawei Watch 4 Pro Space Edition is a variation of the Watch 4 Pro launched – and tested – in 2023, and which is inspired by the aerospace world. Huawei touts more premium design and materials, including the addition of a ceramic bezel and Laval dial, influenced by “the Laval nozzle used in rockets”, just that. This watch offers features that we already know, like the health sensors brought together under the TruSeen 5.5+ banner (measurement of heart rate, oxygen saturation, stress, body temperature, evaluation of the arterial stiffness) and updated for the occasion. The tocante will be sold for €649, or €100 more than the standard Watch 4 Pro at launch.

If the Chinese brand achieves notable performances on its domestic market, it intends to maintain its presence on the Old Continent. In addition to its high-end Pura 70 smartphone series, Huawei has just presented its new touchscreen tablet, the MatePad 11.5″ S. This benefits from a screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and PaperMatte technology, giving a paper appearance to the display for better eye comfort and almost zero reflectance, less than 2% according to the manufacturer. This is not the only brand to offer such a technical improvement: we remember the. Gorilla Armor coating of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra that we tested in the lab and which displayed a reflectance of barely 19.66% under our probes. Note that this is not the first Huawei tablet using PaperMatte technology. since it was used more discreetly in 2023 on a MatePad 11.5, but it intends to highlight it more this year.

Finally, to all these announcements are added the Huawei FreeBuds 6i and FreeClip, wireless headphones sold for €99 and €199 respectively.
