After a new feature intended to strengthen driver safety, Waze is launching a new danger icon. The button is more convenient than before. It is materialized by a menu which asks, more quickly, “What do you see?†. Several options are then available from the same screen for motorists, between reporting an accident, the presence of authorities, traffic jams or a radar. Just press it.

Previously, reporting required several gestures and going through various menus until you found the desired option. Now they present themselves instantly. No need to take your eyes off the road, the action is quick. A welcome novelty as Waze is a community application which seeks to enable everyone to drive more safely.

To take advantage of these improvements, consider updating your Android or iOS application. Android Auto and CarPlay should be eligible for it shortly, a little later.
