If you like narrative and musical games, you’ll probably be watching for the arrival of We Are OFK. This is a fictional biopic around the indie pop band OFKformed by former video game developers, who have therefore reimagined their story in the form of a playable adventure which will of course be punctuated by their compositions.
The project had been announced by a live broadcast of the team at Game Awards 2020 and has since been confirmed for a PC launch via SteamI’Epic Games Store and itch.io, Switch, PS4 and PS5. It will be divided into 5 interactive chapters, and we now know when they will appear: the release date of the first episode has just been set for August 18, 2022and one episode per week will be offered until September 15. A EP of 5 songs will be deployed in parallelalso at the rate of one piece per week.
Alternatively, a physical PS5 or Switch edition can be pre-ordered from iam8bitbut you will have to wait a little later to receive the full experience at home. We Are OFK promises to be very original and we can’t wait to find out if it will live up to its ambitions.
