These rebellious activists from Champigny-sur-Marne oscillate between sarcasm and the dream of a “third round” for their champion Jean-Luc Mélenchon. Unconvinced by the performance of the candidates, most will abstain on Sunday.

Within the four walls of his living room in Champigny-sur-Marne, Carlos Malem has brought together seven “rebellious comrades” to watch the debate between Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen on Wednesday evening. They didn’t expect anything, except “an edge fault by one of the candidates” as the former deputy mayor of the city, Jeannick Le Lagadec, tells in the video at the top of the article.

These People’s Union activists look beyond the debate. They dream of a “third round” to the legislative elections which would propel Jean-Luc Mélenchon to Matignon. Still, they have to make a choice for the second round. If some are undecided, others have already made the choice to abstain or vote blank.
