Guest of Punchline this Thursday on Europe 1, Yannick Jadot returned to Anne Hidalgo’s proposal to organize a large primary from the left. Yannick Jadot will not participate in a primary from the left. Invited on the Punchline set, facing Laurence Ferrari, the environmental candidate renewed his opposition to this proposal from the socialist candidate Anne Hidalgo. “We do not have a primary to decide between Hidalgo and Jadot,” said the ecologist, who has already won the primary of his party, Europe Ecology the Greens, against Sandrine Rousseau.
“We do not have a primary four months before an election”
Yannick Jadot supports the gathering of the left, progressives, environmentalists, but will no longer submit to a primary. A way out for Hidalgo
Yannick Jadot called on the activists to use common sense because “Jean-Luc Mélenchon will not participate”. “He is in a hallway, he is in his campaign,” he said. The environmental candidate does not see the point of this primary which “would decide only between the socialists and the environmentalists”. “We do not do a primary simply to decide between Anne Hidalgo and Yannick Jadot”, he judged at the microphone of Laurence Ferrari on Europe 1. The candidate EELV does not want to play the game of this primary which, according to him, just wants to be a “way out” for Anne Hidalgo, struggling in the polls.
Yannick Jadot calls on the Socialists to join the ecologists in the race for the presidential election. “I call them to come with their ideas, their proposals, their stories, their commitments and that we build this great dynamic together”, he launched on the set of Punchline. At the microphone of BFMTV, the candidate EELV had already extended his hand to the candidate of the PS Anne Hidalgo, affirming that she “could obviously be his prime minister”.
