After being announced for December 2021 then pushed back to the first quarter of 2022, Syberia: The World Before, the fourth installment of the Syberia series from Microids, has just revealed its new date of digital launch on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG): This will be the March 18, 2022.
It would therefore have been necessary wait almost 3 years after its announcement in August 2019 so that Syberia 4, officially called Syberia: The World Before in French, is born. Hope the wait was worth it. Answer in two good months therefore.
As a reminder, this title of Microids and Koalabs, who promises to reconnect with the origins of the license, follows the adventures of Kate Walker initiated by Benoît Sokal in 2002 with Syberia, before knowing its conclusion in 2004 in Syberia II and an first sequel relaunching the series 2017 simply titled Syberia 3.
This time, it will be about solving a new riddle which will lead you across continents and eras, embodying both Kate Walker in 2004 and Dana Roze in 1937, in the fantastic and poetic universe of Benoît Sokal.
Note that Microids also informs us in its press release that the original soundtrack symphony composed by Inon Zur (Syberia 3, Fallout, Dragon Age, Prince of Persia) and already available on streaming platforms, will also be released on vinyl when launching the game.
