The biggest news of yesterday was of course the official acquisition of Activision-Blizzard by Microsoft. But we also talked about the leaked design of the Xiaomi 14 Pro, as well as the war against Google led by a French hotelier. Here’s a quick recap of the news:

The end of the Microsoft-Activision-Blizzard series

We’ve been waiting for it for over a year. Yesterday, the CMA finally gave its approval for Microsoft’s takeover of Activision-Blizzard. Obviously, the Redmond firm made it official straight away, through a press release. We now expect that many of the publisher’s games will join Game Pass… and become Xbox exclusives?

This is what the Xiaomi 14 Pro will look like

That’s it, the design of the Xiaomi 14 Pro is in nature. According to the renderings, the manufacturer would abandon the curved screen of previous models, in favor of the thinnest borders in the industry, i.e. 1 mm thick. We will find a screen with a diagonal of 6.6 inches, a photo module with 4 sensors at the back. The main 1-inch sensor will be absent, replaced by a smaller one.

Google sued over wave of fake reviews

Raoul Salama, hotelier in Saône-et-Loire, decided to roll up his sleeves after receiving a wave of false negative reviews on Google. Faced with the inaction of the American giant, the latter has approached justice. Great idea, since the first battle was won. Google was in fact condemned for being too slow to provide the identity of the people behind the fake reviews.
