We already knew a lot, now we know everything about the Google Pixel Tablet… thanks to Amazon.
While the rumors around the Pixel 7a and the confirmation of the Pixel Fold have caused a lot of ink to flow, it is now the Pixel Tablet that is making headlines a few days before the Google I/O.
Although Google made this tablet official last year, details such as its spec sheet, price and availability were unknown until now. However, a massive leak on Amazon revealed all this long-awaited information (the product sheet is now offline, but Google kept it cached).
The surprise… is no longer a surprise
According to information uploaded by Amazon, the Pixel Tablet will be equipped with a Google Tensor G2 chip, which is also present in the Pixel 7a and the Pixel Fold. The device will feature a 10.95-inch 16:10 aspect ratio LCD screen with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels and a maximum brightness of 500 nits. The tablet will be compatible with a USI 2.0 stylus and will offer 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, as well as 128 or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
As for the cameras, the Pixel Tablet will be equipped with two 8-megapixel sensors, one on the front and one on the back. The device will also have four speakers for stereo sound, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port, and will support Wi-Fi 6 (2×2 MIMO), Bluetooth 5.2, and UWB. The tablet will be dockable via pogo pins on the back, as the Amazon leak also shows. The battery with a capacity of 27 Wh should provide a battery life of up to 12 hours.
According to the Amazon product page, the Pixel Tablet will be available in Japan from June 20 for a price of around 80,000 yen (530 euros). In France, the price should be around 650 euros, and perhaps more, docking station included.
The shelf will be offered in two colours: porcelain and “Hazel”. Among the camera features mentioned by Amazon are Magic Eraser, Long Exposure Live HDR+ and Night View, which are already present on other Pixel products.
