Learning that Philippe Vecchi had ended his life on October 24, 2017 at just 53 years old rang Alexandre Devoise. The latter had expressed himself in the pages of France Sunday a few months after the death of Masha Polikarpova’s husband, referring to “a shock of incredible violence“: “I had it online a few days before. Philippe was a very fragile person and the outcome is unfortunately terrible. After the dazzling success we experienced on the channel – quite exceptional at the time – that was Canal, Philippe had a hard time bouncing back (…) Both of us have always been bottom and bottom, living twelve years of our life together, a bit like a couple. We worked together, we went on weekends together and on vacation together.“
