Even if the summer is saying goodbye piece by piece, the beautiful flowers from the warm season will still be retained: The floral trend blooms as a pattern this autumn on all items of clothing and gives us a small extension of the summer feeling.

What do Anna Wintour, Princess Victoria of Sweden and Queen Letizia of Spain have in common? When it comes to fashion, they all have a soft spot for floral designs. But the floral prints are not only popular with the stars and royals, they are also finding their way more and more into our wardrobes. We show you five styles that prove that the otherwise summery patterns can also be worn in autumn without any problems.

Floral pattern dresses

The classics among the recurring fashion trend are undoubtedly dresses with floral prints. Long or short, printed over a large area or finely embroidered – you will find everything in this fashion basic. Especially when it comes to summer dresses, there is no getting around the floral patterns. We have good news for everyone who can’t bring themselves to banish their beloved summer dress back into the closet: Despite falling temperatures, you can still wear your clothes in autumn with a simple trick.

In order not to have to freeze on cold days, you simply need a warm sweater that you can wear over your dress. It looks particularly sophisticated if you choose a dress with a collar and let it peek out at the neckline of the sweater. If you want it a little more figure-hugging, you can tie a wide belt around your waist – and you’ll conjure up a beautiful silhouette. The look is rounded off with overknee boots that keep your legs warm. Alternatively, you can also choose ankle boots and tights.

Rock with sophistication

If you don’t have a floral dress hanging in your closet, you can fall back on a skirt with a matching pattern – here, too, the different designs are almost unlimited. Influencer Gitta Banko shows us what to look for when styling an autumn look with a skirt: A thick turtleneck in combination with warm boots equips us perfectly for cold days. When choosing a shorter skirt, you should put on tights so as not to freeze. There are no limits when it comes to accessories, you should just refrain from strong patterns in order not to distract too much from the floral print. How about a frayed leather bag?

Jackets with a floral print

We’re also loving jackets and coats with floral patterns this fall. On particularly cold days, we can wrap ourselves in the flowered models and defy the dreary weather. Lisa Hahnbueck shows what such a look can look like: the blogger combines a playful pink blouse and bright jeans in a trendy wide-leg cut with the eye-catching jacket with a floral pattern. Real fashionistas should remember this look, because the outfit picks up on two autumn trends. In addition to the playful floral prints, pants with wide legs are also absolutely trendy this season – both pieces should not be missing in any wardrobe.

Elegant blouses with embroidery

Instead of being printed on a large area, fine embroidery can be found on classic blouses this autumn. The decorations are particularly beautiful on white models and add a romantic nuance to the look. If you want something less classic and more extravagant, you can fall back on blouses with large puff sleeves. Combined with elegant trousers and classy coats, you create a look that is suitable for going out and that adapts perfectly to the weather conditions of autumn.

Floral knit

The floral prints are even more daring in autumn when they find themselves on knitwear. Flower patterns work particularly well on warm knitted sweaters and cozy cardigans. The mostly fine embroidery creates a look with timeless elegance, as the sweater by influencer Annabel Rosendahl proves. The classic design goes with almost every outfit and can be combined in many ways.

Blogger Katie Giorgadze shows us a slightly more unusual variant of the floral knit on her Instagram account: her short-cut cardigan is covered with colorful flowers on the sleeves. The design is almost reminiscent of a summer meadow of flowers and is an absolute eye-catcher. If you dare to try the look, you should keep the rest of the outfit simple. Jeans, a white shirt and boots suitable for autumn complete the overall picture.
