Weather for Wednesday October 5: freshness gives way to mildness

The sun shines on three quarters of the country, after the dissipation of the fogs. If the South-West experiences summer heat, showers and wind blow over the North-West.

The fogs remain in the morning of Wednesday October 5, but dissipate little by little during the day, according to The Weather Channel* . If the temperatures are fresh in the morning, they are quickly replaced by a great sweetness and the Sun in the afternoon. A summer air blows in the Southwest, where it is up to 28°C. Only a small northwest quarter is affected by changeable weather, with the arrival of showers and wind.

The weather in your area

To the northwest, the rain arrives in the morning on Brittany with a sustained South-West wind turning to the West, with gusts reaching 80 to 90 km/h on the exposed capes. The sun will return in the afternoon while the showers will progress from Pays de la Loire to Normandy while weakening. In these regions, the feeling will obviously be unpleasant due to the wind and the brief rainy period.

In Ile-de-France, the day is pleasant. If the morning was marked by freshness, with still patches of fog, particularly in Seine-et-Marne, the South-West wind brought mildness. Temperatures will hover around 20°C in the afternoon. The clouds are still multiplying and the weather will be quite threatening in the evening, but it should not rain.

In Hauts-de-France, the day was quite sunny but windy, especially in the afternoon, when gusts could reach 80 km/h on the coast. There is almost no more fog due to the rising wind, and the day passes between clouds and sunny spells. These clouds become more threatening at the end of the day and a brief line of showers circulates in the late afternoon.

To North-east, it is cool in the morning with an often foggy and cloudy sky. The fogs are denser in the plain of Alsace and in the Val de Saône and the Dijonnais. Like the day before, some patches of fog will not lift before midday. The weather is nice in the afternoon.

South of the Loire, the weather conditions remained calm and anticyclonic, like the day before. The fogs are numerous and sometimes thick in the morning on the central regions, from Poitou-Charentes to the Center and as far as Burgundy. Some heights emerge in full sun, forming sometimes sharp local disparities. The sky is also gray and foggy on the Aquitaine coast and the Basque Country, with a slow dissipation.

In these regions, the afternoon is summery with temperatures between 24 and 28°C in New Aquitaine. The weather is particularly resplendent in the Pyrenees.

In the Center East, the weather is also very nice and particularly mild in Auvergne, where the 25°C mark will be reached in Clermont-Ferrand. Again, patches of mist are observed in some plains and valleys in the morning.

At the South-East, the sky is often gray and foggy when entering the Gulf of Lion, or even locally on the Côte d’Azur. The mists and grayness of Languedoc may be slow to dissipate. Apart from that, it’s a beautiful day, especially in the mountains. It is mild, but less than in the Southwest.
