Weather forecast: a gray and rainy Christmas this Saturday

NOTChristmas will be gray, soft and humid over a large part of the territory, according to Météo-France forecasts. From Brittany and Pays de la Loire to the northern borders and northern Burgundy-Franche-Comté, the atmosphere will be very gray, clouds covering the sky all day. They will give rains, more frequent and marked in the morning over the Grand Est, as well as over Brittany, then in the afternoon from the Breton peninsula to Normandy and Pays de la Loire.

From Languedoc and Paca to the Alps, as well as to Corsica, there too the weather will remain cloudy and the rains will be quite marked, in particular on the west of the Isle of Beauty. It will snow on the Alps from 1,800 to 2,000 meters above sea level, sometimes 1,500 meters in the interior valleys, on Corsica around 2,000 to 2,200 meters.

The clouds present over the whole country

In the rest of the country, the cloudy periods will be numerous but generally less compact, they may be accompanied by a few drops, especially at the start of the day and evening. In the southwest and towards Val-de-Saône, the fogs will sometimes be dense in the morning, they will dissipate very slowly.

Side temperatures, the minimum will go from 2 to 7 degrees over a large north-eastern quarter as far as the Massif Central, from 4 to 9 degrees elsewhere in general, up to 10 to 12 degrees on the southern shores. In the afternoon, highs will reach 7 to 11 degrees in the northeast quarter, 9 to 14 degrees elsewhere, locally up to 15 to 18 degrees south of the Garonne and near the Mediterranean, or even 18 on the extreme southwest of the country.
