Meteo-France forecasts for Saturday, May 20, rainy weather marked by showers in the southern half. Precipitation will spread to a wider southern half and very cloudy weather will extend to the northeast of the country. In the morning, it will rain on the Côte d’Azur and Corsica. During the day, this rainy weather will extend to all of Paca and Rhône-Alpes, and will continue on the Isle of Beauty, giving significant watering to the eastern facade and the relief. Significant accumulations will also be expected on the border ridges with Italy for the second consecutive day.

Over Franche-Comté and the south-west quarter, the sky will be cluttered, the showers will mainly concern the Massif Central and the surroundings of the Pyrenees in the morning. The weather will become more unstable in the afternoon and showers may start everywhere. They will be frequent near the Pyrenees, sometimes marked and stormy over the Jura and Languedoc to the south of the Massif Central. On the other hand, they will be rarer on the plains of Roussillon exposed to a moderate tramontane.

Between 7 and 12 degrees at daybreak

Clouds will also dominate over the northeast in the morning. They will then spread towards the Centre, Île-de-France and Picardy, chasing the beautiful morning clearings. The sunny weather will resist near the English Channel and Normandy in Brittany and the Pays de la Loire, but under a sensitive north-easterly wind.

On the temperature side, the thermometer will show between 7 and 12 degrees in general at daybreak, 12 to 14 on the Mediterranean border. The maximum will reach 15 to 18 degrees near the Channel, 17 to 21 over the rest of the country, locally 22 in the Alsace plain.
