Web development: The Svelte Day now also offers workshops

The organizers dpunkt.verlag and heise developer organize the Svelte Day on March 10th in cooperation with Simon Holthausen, co-maintainer of Svelte, and now also offer workshops. The one-day conference and workshops take place online and offer useful information about the still relatively young framework for both beginners and advanced Svelte connoisseurs. The Svelte Day is a spin-off from the JavaScript conference enterJS, which is planned for June 22nd and 23rd, 2022 as a face-to-face event in the Darmstadtium in Darmstadt.

The conference day offers seven practical lectures and starts with an introduction to Svelte and the SvelteKit. The JavaScript framework is characterized by its straightforward component interaction, such as with TypeScript and React. In addition, it is excellent as a tool for data visualization.

If one day at Svelte is not enough and if you want to deepen your own knowledge, the two full-day workshops are a good choice. Two days before the conference, on March 8th, Oliver Sturm offers an introduction to Svelte. Participants start creating components and learn about Svelte-specific syntax and tools.

On March 24, Ivan Hofer shows how more complex relationships can be mapped in a Svelte application. The workshop begins with setting up a SvelteKit project, continues with the configuration of the development environment and auxiliary tools. Participants will learn how to start writing components in TypeScript.

A ticket for the one-day event costs 149 euros (plus 19 percent VAT) until February 17, minus the early bird discount. Workshop tickets are available for 449 euros. Teams also benefit from group discounts on conference tickets. Interested parties can contact the event team via email. Visit the Svelte Day 2022 website for up-to-date information on the program.
