Wendy Holdener narrowly missed her first win in the slalom again

Holdener has to admit defeat Petra Vlhova by 23 hundredths of a second in Kranjska Gora. The Schwyzerin had led after the first run.

(sda) Holdener took eight hundredths of a lead into the second round in her 100th World Cup slalom. She held this lead for a long time, but in the end Vlhova was ahead again.

Holdener remained in 2nd place for the 14th time, 23 hundredths behind – and the 29th place on the podium in slalom overall. The American Mikaela Shiffrin, who was third after the first run, was eliminated after a threader. The podium was completed by Anna Swenn-Larsson from Sweden.

The two other finalists from the Swiss team, which was decimated by several corona cases, Elena Stoffel and Nicole Good, finished 21st and 23rd in their sixth start in slalom their first World Cup points.

Michelle Gisin was eliminated in the first run after a threading in at the third goal. The World Cup debutante Valentine Macheret clearly missed qualifying for the second round.
