Sequels confirmed: Thomas Gottschalk will also have one edition of the ZDF hit show “Wetten, dass..?” in 2022 and 2023. moderate.
After the great success of the anniversary program “Wetten, dass..?” Last November, ZDF confirmed the sequel: Thomas Gottschalk (71) will also moderate one edition of the successful show in 2022 and 2023, according to the broadcaster.
ZDF entertainment director Oliver Heidemann explained: “The response from the TV audience was overwhelming. Together with Thomas Gottschalk, we decided to tell the story of ‘Wetten, dass..?’ continue to write. From now on, all betting ideas are welcome again.”
The next issue will be in autumn 2022. Betting suggestions can already be submitted for this. Where the show will take place and when exactly it will be shown will be announced in the coming months.
On November 6, 2021, more than 14 million viewers tuned in when “Wetten, dass…?” celebrated its anniversary edition. “We are very happy about the great success of the anniversary edition. A sequel was never actually planned. In view of the great response, however, we will certainly think about it again,” said ZDF program director Dr. Norbert Himmler at that time already.

On February 14, 1981, the Saturday night show went “Bet that..? on the air for the first time. In September 1987, Thomas Gottschalk took over the format from shower finder Frank Elstner (79) and moderated it with an interruption until 2011.
