Are the Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones worth buying?

Ben reviewed the Sony WH-1000XM4 a few months ago. He was particularly enthusiastic about the numerous functions that Sony integrates into its headphones. These include automatic wearer detection and automatic motion detection, which automatically downregulates the powerful ANC when walking or in traffic.

In terms of sound, the WH-1000XM4 are balanced and can be adjusted to your listening habits using sound profiles and equalizers. If you are absolute bass fans, the headphones are rather unsuitable – Sony mixes the headphones too neutrally for that. If, on the other hand, you’re more of a metal fan like me, the headphones could slip off your head – the grip isn’t particularly firm, but this makes them comfortable to wear.

What do you think of the deal? Do you prefer to use over-ear headphones or in-ear headphones like the Apple AirPods? I’m looking forward for comments!
