what are the three positions of the Kamasutra preferred by the French?

Is the French population shy or naughty in bed? As an answer, here are the three positions of the kamasutra preferred by the French and French women.

The Amorelie brand, specializing in erotic accessories and inclusive sex toys, has launched a survey on the sexuality of part of the French. This shows the ever-growing interest in the sexuality of others. This curiosity sometimes makes it possible to think that there is a standard to which we belong (or not). However, if certain sexual positions are frequent in the sexual practices of French men and women, this does not mean that if you do not practice them, you are abnormal. A Madmoizelle article reports the results of this survey of 1,000 individuals. And here’s what comes out of it. The three favorite Kamasutra positions of those surveyed are doggy style, missionary, and spooning. Nothing really surprising. Of those surveyed, 54% prefer to have sex in the dark and 46% leave the light on. A small minority of them spice up their antics with dirty talk (16%).

A libido influenced by the seasons but also social pressures

In terms of season, the Amorelie study finds that a summer peak influences the libido of French people. 68% prefer to make love in summer against 32% in winter. In addition, 20% of the individuals questioned prefer a relationship that does not last too long. What is surprising in this study is that only 36% of people believe that sex is a source of well-being. Does that mean that, for the rest, it would be a source of pressure, even an obligation? The question is valid. In this line, 68% of women testified to having already simulated an orgasm against only 31% of men questioned. Proof, if one were needed, that it is sometimes difficult to get out of a standardized pattern to express what you really feel.

The importance of duration, context and frequency

In terms of context, 84% of people questioned value the spontaneity of their sexual relations. This is reflected in the frequency of sexual intercourse that people report. In fact, it often happens that we think we have a weak libido compared to that of others. We feel like we aren’t regular enough in our sexuality which can cause a lot of stress, especially if we’ve been in a relationship for a long time. This study shows, precisely, that only 33% of French people make love several times a week, 31% several times a month and 24% several times a year, or even less.

What are the fantasies most shared by the French?

Amorelie goes further by analyzing the fantasies most shared by the French population. In first position comes the threesome, then group sex and finally tantrism (slow sex focused on spirituality and the feeling of the body). Role-playing games, public sex and one-night stands occupy the rest of the ranking.

And masturbation in all this?

Sex is not just with your partner(s), it’s also with yourself. According to this study, women would masturbate every 8 days and men, every 6 days. If the taboo is still maintained for some women (shame, feeling that it is about infidelity or even difficulty touching one’s own body), they are still more daring than men when it comes to sex toys. Indeed, only 10% of men own toys (masturbators, anal plug, dildo) against 33% of women. Because, there too, the taboo is maintained. A good part of heterosexual cisgender men refuse the penetration of their anus during sexual intercourse and thus deprive themselves of a stronger orgasm made possible by the stimulation of the prostate. Even today, the gender distribution of sexual practices coupled with a latent homophobia prevents heterosexual men from discovering certain aspects of their own sexuality.

This study shows only one aspect of the sexuality of French men and women. Thus, it cannot be generalized. In fact, practices and desires vary according to gender identity, sexual orientation, age, but also experiences and traumas. A norm, in terms of sexuality, is inconceivable as sexual relations are as different as the people who practice them. Do not panic, therefore, if you do not find yourself in these results, the main thing is that you do not force yourself and that you are not forced to make love. It is better to focus on quality over quantity. And if you have both, good for you.
