what changes now on Visa Premier cards

LCL is renewing its entire range of bank cards, starting this month with the Visa Premier and the Visa Cleo. The bank is part of a general movement to modernize card design.

LCL continues to renew its range of bank cards, starting in 2021 with Visa Infinite. From this month of March, the Visa Cleo and Visa Premier cards, intended for individuals, will adopt a new pure and vertical design. Will follow, by May, the Visa Business & Visa Gold Business cards for professional customers then, in June, the MaCarteLCL Mastercard card specially designed for young people aged 12 to 17.

This evolution will take place gradually. It is when renewing your card that the customer will be able to benefit from these new features, or by changing the card range, specifies LCL in a press release.

How to get a free bank card?

Extended validity period

The new LCL cards tick all the boxes of current trends in this area. The unique number, now laser engraved and more embossed, as before, moves to the back. On the front, only the logo of the bank and the Visa and CB acceptance networks, and the name of the bearer, appear. To better distinguish them in a card holder, some have colored edging: blue for Visa Premier, yellow for business cards. They are made from 100% recycled PVC and their validity period is extended by 3 to 4 years.

LCL is not the only brand changing its cards. The movement, initiated by online banks, is now general. BNP Paribas also launched a renewal of its range in February, like La Banque Postale and the Crdit Mutuel Alliance Fdrale federations before it. Among the major French banks, only Crdit Agricole and SG remain with the traditional design.
