Faced with these observations, many of them have been led to rethink their romantic encounters and in particular to avoid traditional activities such as going out to restaurants or drinks on terraces. Still according to the YouGov study for Bumble, more than 1 in 3 French people aged 18-24 (42%) now favor a free activity as part of a date (such as a walk or a meeting in a park , for example) and 1 in 5 (21%) prefer a home-cooked dinner to avoid spending too much money at restaurants.

Beyond setting limits on their spending, young people also seem more open and uninhibited about the idea of talking about money (a subject that has long been taboo).
