What is the ceiling of the booklet A? : Current Woman Le MAG

Can be opened by anyone, including minors, the Livret A savings account is an easy-to-open and tax-free savings solution. In this, it remains very popular and practical. But these constraints mean that it cannot contain an infinite amount of money. And even if the ceiling is important, it is necessary to know what amount it can contain to use it at best and avoid unpleasant surprises.

What is the maximum amount that a booklet A can contain?

The limit of the booklet A changes according to the person who opened it. If it is a natural person (an individual), it is possible to deposit money there up to 22,950 euros depending on the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Economic Sovereignty. Note that, except when opening the booklet, there is no minimum payment amount required. If the livret A is opened by a legal person (a structure such as an association), the maximum ceiling increases to 76,500 euros. In both cases, it should be remembered that this ceiling does not take into account interest, but only payments.

What should be done once the booklet A ceiling has been reached?

You should know that it is impossible to open a second booklet A once its ceiling has been reached. But that doesn’t mean it’s useless or that all the money in it should be removed. You can save it and keep this reserve aside to use it later. However, it is possible to open other savings products at the same time. The most common are the sustainable and solidarity development booklet (LDDS), with its ceiling of 12,000 euros, and the taxed bank book.
