What styling products do I need? | BRIGITTE.de

How much is too much and what are the absolute essentials for perfect hair styling? We asked REDKEN hair artist Mandy van den Bosch-Macri backstage at Berlin Fashion Week.

1. A good hairspray

Everyone theoretically knows how to use hairspray. But in practice it often looks different.

If you see it, it is being used incorrectly. Most people use hair varnish because it is firmer. However, if there are no high-quality alcohols here, they are not flexible. After combing, there are often white residues. You can recognize good hairspray by the fact that you can brush it through well and then everything falls casually again.

In theory, you wouldn't even have to wash your hair after using hairspray. Assuming it's a good spray. In addition, many use too much hairspray when styling. The result: concrete. No (more) with us!

2. Professional Secret: hairdressing cream

Never heard? Then we will enlighten you now. Very few of us have a hairdressing cream at home, but the product is quite helpful in everyday life.

There are many looks that we soothe with the hairdressing cream when wet. For example, you just brush in the top part of the head and blow-dry the rest. This way, you have the shine and calmness in your hair at the top.

With calm hair Mandy says that it is not wild in all directions and looks frizzy. No more flying hair! By the way, styling creams can also be used to perfectly style sleek hairstyles.

3. Dry Shampoo

We all know it, we all love it. The dry shampoo. It is also an absolute must-have for Mandy van den Bosch-Macri:

We have all become lazy and have no time.

Dry shampoo is not only a lifesaver if we don't want to wash our hair. Especially with fine hair, it can also be a wonder weapon right after washing.

On freshly washed hair, dry shampoo ensures that it becomes grippier and more voluminous. The hair does not look flat, nor does it grease quickly. Jackpot!
