The messenger WhatsApp is discontinued X (formerly Twitter) the introduction of filters for the chat list. In the future you will see three new buttons above these. These are labeled “All”, “Unread” and “Groups”. By pressing the respective button you select the filter and only such chats will be displayed in your list.
Filters are not completely new in Messenger. You can already filter the chat list for unread chats, but this requires several steps. The new buttons above the chat list simplify the process and WhatsApp also introduces more filters.
Filter for unread messages and groups
According to WhatsApp and Mark Zuckerberg, who also announced the change on his WhatsApp channel, the filters should already be available. However, they are not yet visible in our app. They will probably be introduced with an update in the next few days.
The introduction of chat filters is part of a larger redesign. As a result, the menu bar in the Android app has been moved from the top to the bottom, the accent color also changes and the messenger is “suddenly green”.
