The sun comes out more often and the days feel brighter and longer again. These changes, among other things, bring with it the beginning of spring in March. Apart from that, things are changing in various areas of life. You have to prepare for the following changes.
The time change
The new spring comes, as always, with the time change. This time it will take place on the night of Saturday to Sunday, March 31st. Then the clocks are set forward once again from 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. That means one hour less sleep.
WhatsApp must open
According to the Digital Markets Act (DMA), WhatsApp must open up to other messengers. It will therefore soon be possible to receive messages in private chats from other platforms. Group chats and calls are excluded from this feature for the time being.
It is still uncertain whether the change will take effect in March. According to EU law, WhatsApp only has to create the technical requirements that other providers can then build on.
Amazon is canceling Echo Connect
Making calls with the Amazon Echo – a practical feature that allowed you to reach not only other devices, but also fixed and mobile devices. This will at least partially end from February 29th. Starting next month, you will only be able to reach other Alexa models; you will no longer be able to call landline and mobile numbers via Echo Connect.
As compensation, owners of an Echo Connect will receive a 10 euro voucher, which you may have already received by email. If you don’t want to do without the feature, this Vodafone option is an alternative.
