WhatsApp is testing a new group size. Up to 1,024 people can now chat with each other in the beta version of the messenger. The limit was only recently increased.

WhatsApp is constantly adding new features to its beta version. Now Messenger has increased the maximum group size. That writes the usually well-informed WhatsApp fan blog wabetainfo.
In the latest beta version for Android and iOS, some people are able to create groups with up to 1,024 participants. In the regular version of the messenger, you can create WhatsApp groups with up to 512 participants.

Should WhatsApp implement the change after the test phase, it would be the second increase in group size within a short period of time. Messenger only increased the number of participants to 512 in June 2022, previously you could only add 256 contacts.
