Meta regularly updates the WhatsApp messenger to improve the service and not lose users. Now the company is rolling out another new function.
WhatsApp releases an update that brings the search function by date to the Android version. This is reported by the technology magazine Techcrunch. Meta boss Mark Zuckerberg shows what the feature looks like in a short video on his WhatsApp channel.
To access the function, select a chat, tap the name at the top and then tap “Search”. A calendar icon should then appear, allowing you to search for chats on that day with a specific date.
The feature has long been available for other platforms such as iOS, WhatsApp Web and Mac Desktop. Now Android fans can also enjoy the function that makes searching for old messages easier.
