The Meta group will in turn seize the new fashion of generative AI, to the point of putting it absolutely everywhere!

The explosion of ChatGPT, thanks to a company (OpenAI) working with Microsoft, has deeply whetted the appetite of other tech giants. No GAFAM wants to be left behind in what appears to be potentially the great technology of the future. The proof ? Meta (Facebook) is also jumping on the bandwagon!

Soon a “chatbot” on WhatsApp?

For six months now, artificial intelligence has been conceived by the general public as presenting itself first and foremost under the unique face of the chatbot. In this area, we obviously know ChatGPT, but also its competitor made in Google: Bard. Two major names that hide a forest of new initiatives, like the agent developed by Snapchat.

And it is with this kind of product that Meta should go into battle. Indeed, according to the American media, the group founded by Mark Zuckerberg is working on the integration of AI “agents” for its Messenger and WhatsApp messaging applications. A project so advanced that it would have been spotted on Instagram by the researcher specializing in applications Alessandro Paluzzi.

AI everywhere

According to the screenshots taken by the latter, the chatbot in question could well have up to 30 different personalities. A first jump that would be unlikely to be the last, if we are to believe Mark Zuckerberg himself. Because the CEO of the group has met his employees recently to explain to them how Meta was going to put AI ” in each of its products “.

Thus, for Instagram, this desire will materialize through the possibility of editing images through an AI that will be controlled by prompts, before posting these images in stories. The historical social network of the juggernaut, namely Facebook, is obviously not forgotten. For the old house, Meta would like to implement AI tools for creating posts aimed at both users, but also advertisers. What quickly make it a serious player in the sector?
