WhatsApp will let you send animated stickers that look like you

WhatsApp should soon greatly improve its functionality allowing you to create avatars, since these should soon allow you to create animated stickers to send in your conversations.

On social networks, WhatsApp announced a few days ago that you can now easily create an avatar on its messaging application, using a simple selfie. This feature allows users to quickly create their WhatsApp avatar without having to choose everything from scratchsuch as face shape, skin tone, eyes, etc.

The social network also added new stickers to better fit conversations, but this is not the only change planned by the company. Indeed, according to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp plans to introduce an animated version of the avatar pack in an upcoming app update. This novelty was discovered in the latest update of the beta version of WhatsApp for Android, which has the number 2.23.15.6.

Animated avatars are coming soon to WhatsApp

With its animated avatars, WhatsApp is looking to bring your stickers to life. Your answers will thus become more expressive, and above all more adapted to the various situations. Creating animated avatars always seems to only require a selfiewhich should make the feature widely accessible to most users.

The introduction of animated avatars represents a significant aesthetic improvement for WhatsApp. It follows the recent release of a revamped keyboard and an updated GIF and sticker picker. This addition will further enhance the platform’s sticker sharing feature and aims to elevate the overall user experience.

As usual, this feature is currently only available on the WhatsApp beta, and it’s unclear when Meta plans to roll it out to everyone. In the meantime, we remind you that the American giant is also working on improving confidentiality in the Communities by hiding your telephone number, or on another option allowing you to replace your telephone number with a simple nickname.
