A recent hint suggests that the Android version of WhatsApp could soon resemble the iOS version.

In case you didn’t know, WhatsApp is one of those few apps that have significant discrepancies between different versions. And it is clear that this is not the most practical when you have several devices operating under different operating systems. For example, users of the Android version of WhatsApp still do not have a navigation bar, unlike customers of the iOS version.
If it is indeed not uncommon to see certain features land prematurely on one of the two versions (iOS or Android), it is true that the bottom bar plays a considerable role in terms of ergonomics. Finally, be reassured, you will soon all be in the same boat!
WhatsApp for Android will finally come with a navigation bar
Very practical, the navigation bar makes it possible to alternate in no time from one section to another of the application. If users have been asking for changes to WhatsApp browsing for many years, Meta finally seems to have made it a priority for its Android customers. If this new navigation bar does not have quick access to settings, as is the case on iOS, it does contain the main elements, namely conversations, communities, status or calls.
