Gigabyte mentions a new processor on AMD AM4 platform. Something to take with a grain of salt, however.
The Ryzen 7 5700X, we know. The Ryzen 7 5700G and 5700GE we also know. On the other hand, the Ryzen 7 5700, that’s new and, to be completely honest, we don’t know how to take the news.
A new Cezanne in 2023?
Relayed by our colleagues from VideoCardzthe information comes from the compatibility lists published by Gigabyte to certify its AMD X570 chipset-based motherboards.
In the most recent update to the listings in question, a new Ryzen 7 processor benchmark clearly appears, “caught” between the aging Ryzen 7 Pro 4750G and the Ryzen 7 5700GE.
Despite a name that would bring it closer to a version of the Ryzen 7 5700X whose frequencies would have been limited, Gigabyte’s listing very quickly announces the color: it is a processor from the Cezanne range.
Not the slightest graphical solution
In any case, this Ryzen 7 5700 is therefore much closer to the 5700G/5700GE. For example, it has 8 cores/16 threads and benefits from a combined cache of 20 MB (4+16).
Operating frequencies are close to those of the “G” model with an identical boost at 4.6 GHz and a base frequency of 100 MHz less at 3.7 GHz. However, there is a major difference between the two chips: the 5700G has a Vega graphics solution which gives it a very interesting all-in-one character.
The Ryzen 7 5700, as mentioned by Gigabyte, does not have any graphics solution and would therefore require the use of a dedicated graphics card. It should however be noted that, for the moment, only Gigabyte mentions this CPU which is not present on any listing of competitors. Patience, patience…
