Its appearance changes little because, apart from the webcam which has been moved to the side of the device, the design remains more or less the same. It is especially on the inside that there is a big evolution since this sixth generation of iPad Air is now powered by the powerful M2 chip. In addition to being much more efficient than its predecessors, this tablet has a new 13-inch screen size which is added to the 11-inch model. iPad Air 6 (2024): what are the characteristics of Apple tablets?
The main new feature of the iPad Air 6 is the arrival of the M2 chip, much more powerful than the M1. The speed of the CPU is boosted by 15% but also by 25% for the GPU. Furthermore, you get 50% more memory bandwidth than the previous generation. You can therefore give free rein to your creativity and play particularly demanding games without fear of being slowed down in your actions. Energy efficiency is also improved to give you an entire day’s battery life.
This new iPad Air also includes a sublime anti-glare Liquid Retina screen. The 11.1-inch version benefits from a resolution of 2,360 x 1,640 pixels at 264 ppi compared to 2,732 x 2,048 pixels for the 12.9-inch version. With its larger screen, the 13-inch model gives you 30% more display area than the 11-inch model.
