The funeral of Jane Birkin, who died on July 16, took place this Monday, June 24. Many personalities were present to pay a last tribute to the artist in the Saint-Roch church in Paris. According to our colleagues from BFM-TV, the actress will then rest in the Père Lachaise cemetery, located in Paris, where more than 500 personalities are already buried. She will therefore be buried in a different place from Kate Berry, her daughter who died in 2013 and Serge Gainsbourg who died in 1991, who are currently buried in the Montparnasse cemetery.
This Monday, July 24, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lou Doillon paid a very moving tribute to Jane Birkin. “Mom, thank you for all these adventures, thank you for not being ordinary, reasonable or docile. This world of tomorrow, very peaceful and reasoned, it already annoys me”, said the youngest. For her part, Charlotte Gainsbourg expressed her emotion. “I find myself an orphan. I see all your souls in pain without her, I can already see the emptiness she leaves us. She’s my mom, our mom, your Jane”, she confided.
