Still looking for a super hip piece for spring? Royals like Catherine, Princess of Wales and Alessandra de Osma have found it. Clear the stage for the white blazer.

Even if their role is actually quite different: the European noble families are not only celebrated for their commitment to social projects, but also for their style. Catherine, Princess of Wales, and Duchess Meghan are regarded as modern style icons, Queen Máxima as an inspiration for colorful styles and Princess Diana is still the muse for vintage-inspired styling. It is therefore not surprising that the looks of the British royals are not only often copied, but sometimes even set completely new fashion trends. Like now! All royal fashionistas are currently pulling one piece out of their closets – the white blazer.

Blazer – in white? You read that right! The royal ladies are always beaming at us in the light version of the style classic. For good reason! Because there are few trend pieces that are as timeless and as versatile as a white blazer! Why? Winter white, a color in the light spectrum between cream and white, always exudes an extra portion of elegance. And the light tone works well beyond the cold season – even if the name suggests otherwise. The light-colored jacket still has great trend potential in spring and summer.

White blazer: Royal styling

White, white, white – Catherine’s colours! The Princess of Wales has been wearing white, or rather a white blazer, in recent weeks. At the opening meeting of the new business task force for Kate’s Early Childhood Foundation in London, the mother of three wore a classic-cut, cream-white short blazer, showing once again what a good outfit is all about. Elegant jacket, simple basic shirt and black, slim-fitting trousers. An unexcited spring style that always works is ready. High-quality accessories such as a narrow belt with a golden buckle and golden hoop earrings add an exciting touch to the look. Especially beautiful when the spring sun is reflected in it.

Just a few days later, the Princess of Wales once again opted for a white blazer. And here, too, the entire look around the blazer is calm and exactly what we need for 2023: simple and ingenious because timeless. The double-breasted cut with lapel collar and buttons in gold and the off-white of the material form a cool design with a guarantee of success that Kate likes to rely on. She combines it with dark blue jeans. And under the blazer? She’s wearing a simple long-sleeved shirt in the same color as the blazer – an off-white. Discreet gold jewelery should of course not be missing for the real Catherine look.

But it’s not just British aristocrats who are fans of the white jacket in spring. Alessandra de Osma, wife of Prince Christian von Hanover, also seems to have discovered the clean style for herself and presents an entire ensemble in white on her Instagram channel. Especially cool, because the color is of course even more effective in the complete look. A perfectly matching blazer by Massimo Dutti goes with wide linen trousers. It doesn’t matter whether it’s the first day of spring or an almost summer style, this combination is a fashion guarantee. Then spring can come now.
