Who got building land? – New questions about lucrative building sites in St. Veit

Questionable processes are not only occurring at the medical center on a formerly state-owned property. Where cheap rental apartments and condominiums were actually planned, seven cheap building plots for single-family homes came onto the market. Families with the best political connections came to the train.

The 6,000 square meters of the “Bucklmüller II” area have long been a bone of contention. What is to be created there? Who gets the contract for the attractive building site in St. Veit? State Councilor Andrea Klambauer (Neos) wanted to build affordable rental and condominiums there. The community saw no need for it. The land owned by the state became a building land security model on which the son of Deputy Mayor Karl Schwaiger (ÖVP) is building and a medical center owned by the family is being built. In addition, there were seven lots with building land for locals. “As locals tell us, further parcels went to family members of a former St. Veiter ÖVP mayor and to a person who was also very close to the ÖVP,” says member of the state parliament Hans Ganitzer (SPÖ). An insider familiar with the events confirmed this information to the “Krone”.
