Why FACEIT anti-cheat is not usable in Warzone

Since the launch of Warzone, the Battle Royale has always been infested with cheaters, and the RICOCHET system has a lot of trouble eradicating this scourge. The players therefore think that the best solution would be to integrate the FACEIT anti-cheat.

Despite the many waves of banishment and the establishment of the RICOCHET system, cheating is ubiquitous in Warzone.

Tired of this major problem, gamers and streamers have reached a stage where they believe the best solution for Activision is to integrate FACEIT’s anti-cheat.

While some people swear by it and believe that all players should be forced to use FACEIT to play Warzone, the company recently confirmed that its anti-cheat system is simply not available on Warzone or Call of Duty as a whole.

The way our anti-cheat system is built is that it can only work for games that are officially supported with built-in FACEIT technology.” says Fabio Floris, marketing director of FACEIT for Dexerto.

Activision

RICOCHET was first introduced in December, but players have doubts about its effectiveness.

Unless a player actively participates in a game session on one of these games officially supported by our system, our system will simply stop working by design and will then not be able to detect, track or block any potential form cheating if he does not interact in any form with a game that our technology does not support.

FACEIT’s anti-cheat supports games such as CS:GO, PUBG and League of Legends but not Call of Duty. So could this change in the future?

Floris explains:At FACEIT, we are constantly looking to support more and more new games by working closely with developers to design robust anti-cheat solutions that enhance their players’ experience and protect the integrity of their game programs. competitive.

We have recently decided to invest in a new portal which will be operational soon, under the name of “FACEIT Labs”. With FACEIT Labs, game developers will be able to easily access these technologies and install them in their games thanks to the SDK and specific game engine plugins.

Floris concluded his remarks by discussing the misconceptions surrounding FACEIT anti-cheat as it relates to Warzone. “We’ve been contacted by a few members of the COD community recently and have posted a few messages publicly to clarify some misunderstandings about how our anti-cheat system works and how well it protects Call of Duty gameplay.

We are incredibly proud of the effectiveness of our Anticheat, however, we want to avoid any false expectations that could negatively impact the integrity of the competitive scene. We don’t want players using our Anticheat solution during tournaments thinking it’s 100% effective when it isn’t.
