Igor Bogdanoff died on January 3 at the age of 72, six days after the death of his brother Grichka. Scientists had refused to be vaccinated. A friend of theirs explains why.
Grichka Bogdanoff died on December 28 from Covid-19, after several days in intensive care. His brother Igor died six days later on Monday January 3. He had spent several days in a coma. The scientist was 72 years old. In the columns of Parisian, their friend Luc Ferry explained at length the vision of the two scientists. Unvaccinated, they did not believe in the effectiveness of vaccines designed for this virus.
“Being very athletic, without a gram of fat, they believed that the vaccine was more dangerous than the virus. They never got sick.”, explained the philosopher and former Minister of Youth, National Education and Research. But Igor and Grichka Bodganoff forgot that they weren’t very young anymore: “Except at 72 years old, the immune system is not as efficient as it used to be. What stupidity, but what stupidity!”, lamented Luc Ferry. Before it all escalated, he urged them to get vaccinated for a long time, to no avail. Three weeks before Grichka’s death, their friend had tried to talk about it again on the phone.
“He was antivax for himself”
Contrary to what one might think, the Bodganoff brothers were not antivax. Indeed, their vision was more complex than that: “Grichka, like Igor, was not an antivax. He was an antivax for himself. I told him it was grotesque. How crazy they were!”, added Luc Ferry. Deeming themselves stronger than the virus, the two star scientists of the small screen ran to their doom. For the moment, relatives of the family have entered a “period of mourning”, while keeping a vigilant eye on the state of health of Igor Bogdanoff. “Three-four days ago I found out he was in a coma. If he wakes up, can you imagine the pain to learn that his brother is dead? It’s unmanageable”, said the philosopher.
