Wild scenes in Tyrol – skier was thrown 27 meters through the air

Almost unbelievable scenes took place on Sunday in the “Skijuwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau” ski area in Tyrol! A German skier (51) lost control, took off at high speed, was thrown, according to the police, “27 (!) meters through the air” and crashed onto the slope. He sustained serious injuries.

The wonderful weather attracted numerous locals and guests to the Tyrolean ski slopes – including a 51-year-old German. According to the police, the winter sports enthusiast was traveling quickly. Then he hit the ski slope with full force. Flown to the clinic by helicopter. A doctor who happened to be present carried out immediate initial measures and set the rescue chain in motion. After initial treatment, the winter athlete with serious back injuries was flown to the Innsbruck clinic by the emergency medical helicopter “Heli 4”.
