The latest build of Windows 11
should give File Explorer a boost. And that’s good news …

Windows 11 build 22526, which has started rolling out to the Dev channel, will allow File Explorer to index more locations and folders. This change should result in faster searches and make it easier for us to find documents.

More energy for Windows Explorer 11

It is not known at this point how many file locations Microsoft has chosen to add to its Explorer index, but this new feature is welcome. The responsiveness of research should be significantly improved. Note that it will still be possible to remove certain locations from the index if you wish. To do this, you must always go through the settings of Windows Search.

We learn for the rest that Microsoft has corrected some Explorer bugs that gave rise to delays or crashes. These fixes are in addition to issues that Microsoft has already addressed on previous Windows updates, such as reduced performance and crashes seen on some machines with AMD Ryzen processors.
