In a few days the time has come: Samsung will present the new Galaxy S series. So it’s only understandable that the rumor mill is running really hot. A new leak now confirms that the battery of the Galaxy S22 is likely to be even weaker than previously assumed. In addition, the market launch could be postponed.

Evan Blass, one of the best-known leakers, now commented on the battery issue surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S22. While the Galaxy S22+ and the S22 Ultra can be charged over 45 watts, this should probably not be the case with the standard model. Only 25 watts should be used to charge the 3,700 mAh battery. This means that it charges faster than the Galaxy S21, but this is due to the reduction in the actual battery capacity.
This means that you can fully charge the smartphone in 70 minutes. However, the capacity of the battery is also reduced by a whole 300 mAh. In contrast, the Samsung Galaxy S22+ has a 4,500 mAh battery, which can be charged in the same time thanks to the stronger charging power of 45 watts. The 5,000 mAh battery in the S22 Ultra is also charged with 45 watts. Don’t forget: You can buy the chargers with the device, they are not included in the scope of delivery.

Delivery problems with the Galaxy S22?
Also the Dutch side New mobile writes about the reduced loading capacity of the S22. In addition, there could be a later release of the Galaxy S22. According to the two sources, only the Galaxy S22 Ultra will be released on the originally planned release date of February 25, 2022. The Galaxy S22 and S22+ might not be released until two weeks later due to supply chain issues.
After Samsung has already postponed the Exynos 2200 release event, this information doesn’t even seem incredible. It remains to be seen whether the leaks will come true.
