Since June 2023, the Pro, Pro Education, Pro for Workstations and Home versions of Windows 10 21H2 no longer benefit from security updates. They will soon be joined, one year apart, by the Enterprise, Multi-session Enterprise, Education and IoT Enterprise editions. So you only have a few months left to upgrade your machines to the most recent version or Windows 11.
There’s no time to waste, since Windows 10 21H2 will no longer be eligible for security updates, which means your machines will be exposed to cyberattacks.
It was in a press release published Monday March 11 that Microsoft announced the news. The Redmond firm warns that “Customers who contact support after this date will be prompted to update their device to the latest version of Windows 10 or upgrade to Windows 11 to continue receiving support”.
Want to check if your Windows 10 machine is affected by the end of security updates? Just go to Settings then select About. In the Windows Specifications section, the version used is displayed.
