Under Windows 11 and Windows 10 you can start programs directly from the context menu. We’ll show you how to add applications.
Under Windows 10 and Windows 11, you usually start programs using the corresponding icon in the taskbar, on the desktop or in the start menu. Finger acrobats also like to use the app start via key combination.
If you prefer to keep the desktop and taskbar free, you can also start programs via the right-click context menu. A small entry in the Windows registry is enough and you can easily start the desired applications from the context menu.
The following steps show how you can customize the context menu in the Windows registry.
Please note: In this guide we use screenshots from Windows 10. However, the steps are the same on Windows 11 as only the window design has changed. The specified menus, key combinations and buttons are identical.
