Windows 11 gets new icons in the system settings. Microsoft is working to make this central menu not only more useful, but also more visually appealing. Animated symbols should help in the future.
The developer has what these look like in action Rafael Rivera on Twitter shared in a short clip. Microsoft calls these small animations, which will be used in many parts of the system in the future, “Unexpected moments of joy with a purpose”. However, they do not offer an actual function.

Currently, this purely cosmetic update of the user interface is still in an early development phase. It is not yet known when the animated symbols on your desktop will be able to provide “moments of joy”.
