You are aware that at a time not so long ago, connecting a USB key to his PC and launching a transfer was not an operation that could be resolved in a few seconds. The speed was relatively slow, often requiring patience as soon as the files exceeded a certain size. Then the standards evolved. The arrival of theUSB2.0 was already a small revolution with its speed reaching 480 Mbps. A high figure at the time of its release, but pulverized by the standard USB 3.0 and his 5 Gbps theoretical.

Since then, our current PCs still display the mention USB 3.0 next to the blue connectors, but the replacement has been around for years. The USB 4 standard was made official in 2019. Here too, the change of number is accompanied by a big leap in transfer speed: 40 Gbps, just that. And that’s without counting on USB 4 2.0 which goes to 80 Gb/s without even having to change cable. You still need to have devices compatible with operating systems that support the standard.
