On the eve of the 22H2 update of Windows 11Microsoft announces that it will include an intelligent clipboard which will notably use the machine learningalways with the aim of improving your productivity.

Released last October, Windows 11 will receive its first major update very soon. Microsoft has decided to improve the clipboard tool which had already been optimized since Windows 10.

More efficient copy/paste

Whether you’re using Windows 10 or 11, you should be aware of the clipboard feature, which stores all the links and images you’ve copied since logging in. On Windows 11, the clipboard is improved and classifies files by type (gif, emoji, images). To open this window, just use the shortcut Windows key + V.

Microsoft announces for its next update a smart clipboard, that is to say that the tool can suggest that you paste the previously copied content into an application and redirect you directly to it. Thanks to the help of machine learning, Windows will therefore be able, for example, to offer you to open Outlook, Microsoft messaging, when you copy an email address.

This functionality will be independent of the existing clipboard and linked to an application called “Smart Actions”. A brand new hotkey will be defined to access this option which should arrive very soon.
