Confirmed by Microsoft, the latter affects the colors in “some image editing programs … on some HDR screens», Explains the firm. As Tom’s Hardware relates, most affected users face whites that turn yellow, or even bright yellow, but other colorimetric failures are also observed, more marginally.
For now, it is still difficult to pinpoint the circumstances that lead to the appearance of this bug, which is particularly troublesome for creative users. Microsoft itself has taken some time to identify this HDR issue affecting Windows 11 21H2.
A fix is in preparation … but for the end of January

Without risking to communicate a precise date, Microsoft ensures that it is working on a fix that will be deployed “at the end of January“. In other words, nothing should change for about a month.
Note that Windows 11 has been confronted with several annoying bugs since its release in early October. Some affected, for example, the launch of applications, others affected around fifty games. Performance concerns on processors or storage had also been noted, then corrected, by Microsoft on its new OS.
