AThe aftermath of a war which reduced its population, disorganized the countryside, caused the disappearance of vineyards, this is not luxury. Especially since prohibition in the United States and the crisis of 1929 did not help to revive exports. On June 16, 1934, on the initiative of Désiré Cordier, famous merchant, mayor of Saint-Julien and owner of several Bordeaux classified growths, the Longevity Festival was organized in the Médoc. Cordier noticed that we lived old along the estuary.
