Witch on the Holy Night: the remake of the visual novel will be released in English on December 8 on PS4 and Switch

Released in Japan on PC in 2012, although Kinoko Nasu originally wrote the story as an amateur author in 1996, Witch on the Holy Night is less known to us than Fate/stay night and his descendants, or even that Tsukihimewhose remake has not yet been released in English but whose characters can be played in the fighting game Melty Blood: Lumina-Type. The remake of this pure and hard story (no choice of dialogue or branching) is distinguished by a full dubbing in Japanese, a graphic modernization in HD and the addition of two additional stories.

Taking place in the 80s in Japan, Witch on the Holy Night tells the story of Aoko Aozaki (playable in Melty Blood: Lumina-Type), a young woman from a line of mages who tries to find her place between her occult activities and her life as a model student. Aoko, who must take over the family torch, learns witchcraft from her taciturn roommate, Kuonji Alice, but her habits will be disrupted by the arrival of Shizuki Sôjûrô, a young boy from the countryside.

As a reminder, this story by Kinoko Nasu will also be adapted into an animated film by the Ufotable studio. On the dubbing side, the gratin will obviously be there with, for example, Haruka Tomatsu in the role of Aoko (Asuna in Sword Art Online) and Yûsuke Kobayashi in that of Sôjûrô (Subaru in Re:Zero).
