In his third rally year Philip Geipel wants to know. The 35-year-old will also be contesting all seven rounds of the German Rally Championship next season. For the Speedlife Motorsport team, the man from Plauen will be chasing times in a new Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo.

In two of five races in 2021, Philip Geipel finished fourth and at the end of the season in the Skoda Fabia R5 finished a strong fifth place in the overall standings. “The Speedlife Motorsport team did an incredibly good job last year. So it was natural that we would continue together,” he says.

Katrin Becker-Brugger remains co-driver

In the cockpit, he relies on the tried and tested: Katrin Becker-Brugger takes his place next to him again as co-pilot. Both are a well-rehearsed team and have set themselves ambitious goals for the season: “We hope we can continue the good performance from 2021 and catch up with our new work machine. It will be a great year in this beautiful car! “, Geilel explains. The season opener of the German Rally Championship will take place on April 22nd and 23rd at the ADAC Rallye Erzgebirge around the Sachsenring.
