Fortunately, a 14-year-old student from the Hermagor district was only slightly injured on Wednesday morning after a collision with a car. The student had collided with the car of a 64-year-old woman from East Tyrol while driving down the valley on his electric bike. The student fell and had to be flown to the Lienz district hospital with the C 7 rescue helicopter.

The 14-year-old was riding his electric bike on the public road from the hamlet of Raut down the valley towards the Gail river at around 7.35 a.m. He wanted to go to Maria Luggau when the East Tyrolean drove her car up the road at the same time.
