With Midnight Ghost Hunt, the hunt for ghosts will begin on March 31

If the announcement of Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed has made your inner ghost hunter shiver but the prospect of having to wait until the end of the year disenchants you, Midnight Ghost Hunt seems to come at the right time. Especially since the latter already stands out from the game in development at IllFonic by certain points, in particular a less light atmosphere and the fact that the games take place here in 4 against 4 (and not in 4 against 1).

Confrontations illustrated in video by this pretty cutscene, but also by a presentation of the gameplay published a few days earlier. While hunters are heavily equipped to deal with paranormal threats, ghosts can possess decorative objects to escape the professionals. Which does not mean that ghosts are condemned to flee: when the 12 strokes of midnight sound, the hunters become the prey. Understand by this that the powers of the ghosts will be increased tenfold and that the priority of the hunters will then be to stay alive.

Confident in the game’s promise, Coffee Stain tapped two other studios (She Was Such A Good Horse and Ernst & Borg Studio) to back Vaulted Sky and ramp up production starting last year. At launch and for a price of 20 euros, Midnight Ghost Hunt will include 10 weapons, 10 gadgets and 9 skills for hunters as well as 10 abilities, 10 skills and 8 spells for ghosts. The computer will be able to replace missing players and it will also be possible to play only against the AI on each of the 7 maps inspired by horror classics.
